The Elephant & Castle has always promoted healthy
competition & continues to provide pub sporting facilities such as
darts, pool, crib & dominoes. Additionally, the Elephant & Castle hosts pub pool teams, pub darts teams, pub
crib teams & pub dominoes teams, all of which compete in their
respective local leagues.
This page is simply intended to provide a rough
overview of the pub teams (without going into "too much" detail).
The Elephant & Castle provides a full size pool
table which is located in a separate & lowered part of the bar area.
This provides an elevated view of the many friendly games & matches
which take place every week, and all are made welcome.
Monday Night
The Monday night pub pool team competes in the Video Super Pool League.
The team is captained by Alan Hill & matches consist of 10 frames,
played to World Rules.
Sunday Night
The Sunday night pub pool team competes in the Telford Landlords
Invitation Pool League. Matches
consist of 8 frames, played to World Rules.

(complete with a drinks hatch) for darts players. This allows for a
degree of privacy, a lack of distraction and an excellent match play
atmosphere.
